Shawls
eco denim est. 1997. Denim is one of the worlds most produced textiles using cotton which is prone to high chemical and pesticide usage. Denim waste from Jeans manufacturers becomes a landfill problem due to not being biodegradable on the dump. By collecting the denim offs-cuts from factories we prevent more chemical usage and landfill by creating products from the waste. The off-cuts are shredded back into a fibre and then re-spun into a yarn. The yarn is used to create eco fashion and accessories. We design and produce our products with integrity to minimise impact on the environment. Our products are handmade and support fair trade practice. This provides self empowerment to small global communities with appropriate hand skills. Our community workers are paid fairly by encouraging emergence of micro business where women take responsibility for themselves and thus eliminating poverty.

Sustainable Silk - Watch this space for our 2010 collection
Hemp is a beautiful textile to wear for an environmental alternative. It suits our local Mediterranean climate where we need trans seasonal clothing.
Hemp’s extraordinary qualities: Conditions soil, clears noxious weeds, 3 times tensile strength of cotton, 25 times more durable than cotton, stain resistant, mould and bacteria resistant, moth and silverfish resistant, fire and heat resistant
"Hemp produces a strong, clean yarn, with a structure that makes the cloth cool in summer and warm and comfortable in winter"- GIORGIO ARMANI -
Russian Linen - The flax grown in Russia is recognised as being the best in the world. This excellence is contributed to three beneficial factors: well suited soil, a favourable climate, and the methods of experienced flax growers whose prime concern is quality. A major benefit of flax now gaining even more importance for obvious reasons, is that of sustainable development and concern for the environment. Eastern European linen is environment- friendly and requires a fifth of the pesticides and chemical used for cotton. The reason for this is that the flax crops be planted in rotation each year and this method does not exhaust the natural goodness in the soil. The process by which the flax plant is transformed into fibre are eco-friendly.
